                Commemorative plaque on IV. Austrian federal shootings on June 28, 1892

 

The commemorative plaque on the wall of the restaurant of the scribe shooting range commemorates IV. the Austrian Confederate shootings, which were started by Emperor Francis Joseph I on Sunday, June 26, 1892. The ceremonial opening of the Confederate shootings was preceded by an elaborate parade through the city. Prizes for shooters were very rich. They were led by a silver rococo-style shield from the emperor, another prize was a richly gilded championship cup with the figure of Austria on the lid or a gilded cup with the coat of arms of the city of Brno.
Střelnice byla postavena Brněnskou měšťanskou střeleckou společností v roce 1847.

In memory of the visit of Emperor Francis Joseph I in Brno to the scribe shooting range during the federal shootings in 1892.
Dedicated to the Brno Municipal Rifle Corps 2002.
