            Commemorative plaque of Emperor FJI.

Horní Dobrouč (Dittersbach in German) is a village, part of the Dolní Dobrouč municipality in the district of Ústí nad Orlicí. It is located about 3.5 km south of Dolní Dobrouč.

A small but nicely maintained commemorative plaque is in front of the former rectory. On the plaque of this monument is the name of Emperor FJI. and the year 1848 – 1908, i.e. also for the 60 years of his reign. It was allegedly built here in honor of the monarch who took part in large military maneuvers in the vicinity of Lanškroun in 1894. Even this monument has its own history. The removed plate with the inscription was hidden and almost forgotten in the basement of a neighboring house. According to eyewitnesses, it should have been liquidated several times and also leveled after being overturned to its original position. In the end, however, it was successfully preserved in its original location according to a contemporary German photograph.
