A cross built by the municipality on the anniversary of the silver wedding of the imperial couple.

 

 

Jarohněvice is a small independent village located on the old castle road from Kroměříž to Zdounek and Kyjov, approximately 3 km southwest of the city of Kroměříž. The village is located on the slope of the valley of the Kotojedka stream, at an altitude of around 200 m above sea level, on the SE edge of the fertile Haná bordered by the first heights of the forested Chřibů.

The cross was wooden until 1893, when it fell and was replaced by a stone cross. In 1893, on August 15, he was ordained in the presence of a huge crowd of people from the surrounding villages and from Kroměříž. The stone cross was built by the village of Jarohněvice at a cost of PLN 340. from Mr. Beck from Kroměříž.
On the back of the cross there is a cut inscription without emphasis:

Built for the honor and glory of God
in memory of the jubilee celebration in 1879
