Obelisk with sphere

Kraslice is a smaller town located in the Sokolov district, in the western part of the Ore Mountains, at an altitude of 525 m.

Šibeniční vrch is located above Kraslice at an altitude of 659 m.a.s.l. The beautification and maintenance association, which beautified the Municipal Gardens in 1868, also built a park on Šibeniční vrch in 1908. This park was called Jubilee Park of Josef I, nowadays it is called Emília's Lookout. Emília's viewpoint was named after Josef Meindl's wife Emília.
There is a gazebo on the rock. It used to have a beautiful view of the Kraslice valley. Today, unfortunately, there is practically no view.
There is still an obelisk with a sphere under the gazebo on the way to Glassberg. It commemorated the 60 years of the reign of Emperor Joseph I. After World War I, the inscription Viribus Unitis (united forces) had to be removed from the monument.
