The town of B\u00edlina is located in the \u00dast\u00ed Region, Teplice District, approximately 90 km northwest of Prague. The town is located in the B\u00edlina river valley, halfway between Most and Teplice. At the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, there were important spas here, and B\u00edlinsk\u00e1 kyselka was exported all over the world.<\/p>\n

Between 1886 and 1898, exploration work was carried out to ensure a higher yield of the springs. In 1889, a well was drilled, which at a depth of 42 meters encountered a spring, which was called the spring of Emperor Francis Joseph I. A small colonnade was built above the spring with a view of Bo\u0159e\u0148 hill.<\/p>\n

In 1893, the Lesn\u00ed k\u00e1v\u00e1rna was opened in the spa park in B\u00edlina. It was originally built in Prague on the grounds of the State Jubilee Exhibition in 1891. After its end on October 18, 1891, the wooden pavilion designed in the Swiss style was dismantled and moved to B\u00edlina, to the spa park.<\/p>\n

The original upper respiratory treatment had to be discontinued due to the ever-deteriorating air in the industrial area around the spa, and it was closed in 1992.<\/p>\n
