The settlement of Kojkovice is a local part of T\u0159inec and lies east of the city. The settlement is located near the border with Poland. Near the northwestern edge of Kojkovice, there is a border crossing intended only for pedestrians and cyclists. Forests extend from the outskirts of the settlement.<\/p>\n

The unveiling of the monument took place on September 8, 1908 at the initiative of the leadership of the then still independent municipality. It was built on a hill from where Franti\u0161ek Josef watched the military maneuvers of his army on September 4, 1906. The military exercise lasted for several days and took place in various places around T\u011b\u0161\u00edn and T\u0159inec. More than 60 thousand soldiers took part in it. \"Historical materials related to these important maneuvers are stored in the \u015al\u0105ska Cieszy\u0144skiego Museum in Cieszyn, Poland,\" said its director, Marian Dembiniok. Mention of the construction of the imperial monument, in addition to the contemporary press, also appears in the Polish chronicle of Ly\u017ebic. The entry was made by the then chronicler Matula. He mentioned that at the turn of August and September 1906, imperial maneuvers took place in the vicinity of T\u011b\u0161\u00edn, in which Emperor Francis Joseph I himself took part. He observed the training of the troops from the H\u016frka hill, and that on September 8, 1908, a monument was unveiled at this place, which, in addition to this the event commemorated the 60th anniversary of the monarch's reign.\n\u200b<\/p>\n

After the First World War, another commemorative plaque was found on the monument, commemorating four fallen soldiers from Kojkovice. They were Ji\u0159\u00ed Stok\u0142os, Adam Trombik, J\u00f3zef Klimsza and Jan Cholewik. She was later transferred to a local school, where she fell into disrepair over time. During the reconstruction of the school building, it was removed and stored in the basement. In 2019, local firefighters found it while cleaning the basement of a former Polish school. The communist coup in 1948 resulted in the monument being \"decorated\" with a new plaque depicting a flying dove and the bilingual text \"Za trvl\u00fd m\u00edr - Za tr\u00e1ly pok\u00f3j - r. 1950\".\n\u200b<\/p>\n

The unique monument in Kojkovice was reconstructed at the end of 2010. The initiative of Kojkovice residents contributed to the repair.<\/p>\n
