Church of St. Lawrence<\/h1>\n

The Church of St. Lawrence in Chrastava is a pseudo-Gothic sacral building on the site of a former church. Thanks to its location on a hill behind the river, it is visible from afar, including its pointed shapes.<\/p>\n

In 1866\u20131868, the original building, except for the tower, was demolished and replaced by today's pseudo-Gothic three-nave church. The church windows feature stained glass from Novobork depicting the Stations of the Cross and the names of the patrons of the last reconstruction of the church. One of the donors was Emperor Franz Joseph I. His portrait was given a place of honor directly behind the altar.<\/p>\n
