Unveiling of the monument to Emperor Francis Joseph I.<\/h1>\n

Litom\u011b\u0159ice is a town at the confluence of the Elbe and Ohra in northern Bohemia.<\/p>\n

On the occasion of the 60th year of the reign of Emperor FJI. his monument was unveiled on June 14, 1908, on the edge of today's Jir\u00e1sk\u00e9 Gardens (then Parkstrasse). The author was the Viennese sculptor, originally from Znojmo, T.H. Charlemont. The construction was the work of the stonemason Josef Fiala from Litom\u011b\u0159ice. After 1918, the bronze plate with the relief of Francis Joseph I was removed from the monument.
\nIn 1927, the monument was fitted with a new relief plate and commemorated the 700th anniversary of the city of Litom\u011b\u0159ice. This board was there until the 1940s. It is currently on display in the North Bohemian Gallery of Fine Arts in Michalsk\u00e1 Street.<\/p>\n

From 1954 until February 5, 1953, there was a monument to J.V. Stalin. There has been a statue of a soldier here since 1975, the monument is called \"Honor and Glory\".\n\u200b<\/p>\n
