Unveiling of the original monument to the 60th anniversary of Emperor FJI's reign.<\/strong><\/h1>\n

On August 17, 2013, the original monument to the 60th anniversary of the reign of Emperor FJI was ceremonially unveiled on K\u0159\u00ed\u017eov\u00e9m vrch in \u0160luknov, and the Imperial Oak was planted near it. The celebration began with a march of participants from \u0160luknov Square to K\u0159\u00ed\u017eov\u00fd vrch. After the arrival of veterans in ceremonial uniforms and guests around the monument, short ceremonial speeches followed, the consecration of the monument by a priest, the presentation of commemorative medals and a ceremonial salvo.<\/p>\n

What preceded it?<\/p>\n

At the end of 2011, Mr. Gert Ritschel informed the retirees of \u0160luknov that a monument could be seen in the dam of the drained pond. The veterans picked up the monument and, after cleaning it, discovered that it was a monument that was erected in 1908 by veterans from \u0160luknov for the 60th anniversary of the reign of Emperor FJI. At the same time, an Imperial Oak was also planted near the monument. The original monument and the oak stood in a now defunct locality, so a new place for the monument and the Imperial Oak was chosen in agreement with the city in the K\u0159\u00ed\u017eov\u00e9 vrch locality, where it found a worthy place near other monuments.<\/p>\n

The found monument was reconstructed by members of the Union of Veterans at their own expense. It is very important and valuable to them, because it was built by the original \u0160luknov military veterans from the Austro-Hungarian era, whose tradition the Union of Military Veterans of the Lands of the Czech Crown directly follows.<\/p>\n
